Organizers of the
28th Celtic Colours International Festival are thrilled to announce
that the award-winning, internationally acclaimed event will be
returning to communities all over Cape Breton Island this October 11-19,
with a stacked lineup of 50
concerts!
This annual
celebration of Cape Breton Island’s Celtic culture and traditions will
take place in long-standing Celtic Colours venues like the historic
Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay, the iconic Fortress of Louisbourg National
Historic Site, and the state-of-the-art Strathspey Performing Arts
Centre in Mabou.
The Festival will
open in Port Hawkesbury on Friday, October 11 at the Port Hawkesbury
Civic Centre and close on Saturday, October 19 at Centre 200 in Sydney.
During the nine days of the Festival, there will also be concerts in Inverness, Christmas Island,
Petit-de-Grat, Big Pond, Boularderie, Wagmatcook, Membertou, St. Ann's,
L'Ardoise, Chéticamp, Louisbourg, Boisdale, Whycocomagh, Eskasoni,
Leitches Creek, and Judique, among many others.
The full schedule and
line-up of artists will be announced June 24 with tickets going on sale
July 9.
